As the news coming from the international shipping, Container ship which was involved in the hit and run case of a fishing boat has been identified by the Coast Guard.
On April 10, Container Ship Pacific Express hit a fishing boat around Quy Nhon Port, Vietnam. After hitting the fishing boat, the ship did not stop and kept on sailing. In this incident three fishermen got overboard and their boat was completely destroyed. Fisherman were rescued by the fellow other fisherman boat. In such cases, the owner of the vessel have to pay for the compensation amount to the suffering party.
This sheer act of negligence, as the ship should report such cases and also help the fisherman in that case. The whole coast starting from Indonesia to china usually has lot of fishing boats, and ships are advised to keep extra look out.
