As per the news which is coming from Spain, they have recognized seafarers as the key workers. As per the IMO recommendations to all the nations to allow crew for sign on and sign off. Now Spain has enabled crew change operations with country own procedure. Seafarers need to present their necessary document like CDC or Seafarers identity document and employment contract as well. Spain has been greatly affected by corona virus outbreak.
This news is surely good for seafarers as it will allow them to go home who have been to sea for quite long time now. Same, those who wish to join back vessel can also do the same.
