Maersk Starts Cargo Train Service From China To Turkey

The container shipping giant, Maersk have stepped up the cargo shipping to another level. They have started a weekly service of cargo train from Xi’an, China to Izmit, Turkey. This is part of Maersk Intercontinental Rail (ICR) network. Earlier they have started this kind of service from china to Europe. This service comes after customer gave positive response to the Maersk -China – Europe rail service. This service is subjected to reduce the travelling time to up to 16 days. Service will have various multiple drop off locations. And they will use the feeder service of Maersk Sealand to connect the various centers to supply cargo to Izmit Port. This will help areas of eastern, southern Europe as well. This kind of service surely gives a wide variety of flexibility to the customers. Service will be weekly based.
