Maersk CEO Gives Warning On Volume, Could Slip Down By 25%

Maersk line which is the largest shipping container line in the world, its CEO Soren Skou have warned the world that in the Quarter 2, the trade volumes might go down by 25%. Which is a huge deal for the all the companies in the world. The trade is what fuels the economy all around the world and such kind drop can cause loss at a larger scale and also can lead to lay up of vessels.
The drop in volume is mostly because of the corona pandemic which has spread to most part of the world. The growth in the second quarter will be negligible. He says, company has already implement their plan and strategy to sustain such drop and reduce cargo.
