I Am A Sailor’s Wife: A Heart Touching Poem

Read This Interesting Poem which is wrote by the sailor wife.

I Am A Sailor’s Wife

As a lover, you’re the one who makes me complete,
But as a seafarer? I get chance to be your queen even though it’s bittersweet,
You’re a gift from God, an answer to all my prayers,
A loyal husband in the cruel world of betrayers.

Patience, loyalty and kindness have been taught to you by your profession,
It has made you the man you’re today without question,
Because of you I believe in love so pure and unconditional,
You made me see that those fairy tales I read as a little girl weren’t fictional.

Marrying you? I would choose you in all my lifetimes,
Even though when you leave, you leave me in tears all times,
When we tied the knot I knew our lives would be full of uncertainty,
Though not physically, your gentle voice still resonates when I am in adversity.

One day you’ll give me a child and be the best father there can ever be,
You’ll teach our child the valuable lessons you learnt at sea,
It’s true you’ll leave every once in a while,
But in their eyes you’ll always be a hero by a mile.

I’m thankful to you for giving me a perfect family,
Also that we never have any problems regarding money,
No matter where you travel I know one day you’ll be in my arms,
Back to our home which we built out of love that survived numerous storms.

Soon the kids will grow up and go out on their own adventure,
You’ll retire and we will start our own joint venture,
There will be no leaving, there will be no tears,
For you’ll always be there to erase my fears.

My only prayer for you to be safe when you’re away,
May the Lord keep all your troubles at bay,
For you’re the miracle that gave me purpose in life,
I came to know what a real relationship is when I became your wife.

  1. woah that’s 4 minutes of my life I’m never getting back!

We all should strive to trap boys who never let us have money problems , thanks for reminding me about that.

Poetess? Deluded much? Poem of word vomit.. Well, then again, it’s trying to tell tone deaf person to decipher a melody and an annoying jingle.

    Romantic airhead bimbet, aren’t we?

To Marinersgalaxy- I think I’ll have to unfollow you guys soon, I used to come here for genuine, realistic stories about navy families and not to hear annoying rants by accomplished gold digging failed poets.

Poetess ji, na likhne ka Kya logi?

    1. Quick to judge others aren’t you? Just because you are a gold digging bimbette doesn’t mean other wives are like you? Does it feel good to try and write disgusting comments with no sense whatsoever on people’s writing? Commenting crap while you’re busy being a worthless human being with no redeeming qualities whatsoever? You made out a heartfelt poem written about the struggles of a sailor’s wife depraved. You tried to make the words penned down while tears in the eyes sound sociopathic. You’re a bully that’s what you are but trust me I’m used to dealing with perverse human beings(are you even fit to be called one?) like you. Self entitled woman who attempts to make others seem inferior.
P.s- I will keep on writing so why don’t you go find a hobby besides being a sociopath?

    1. Quite eloquent. You must stun people with your meaningful gem of comments.
P.s – Don’t waste my time and get a life.
