There has been an accident on Maersk Ship- Laura Maersk, in which a crew member has suffered serious burn injury and was air lifted by the US Coast Guard for urgent medical assistance. Vessel suffered explosion somewhere on 4th June and disabled the ship completely. As per the news we have got, the explosion happened on the turbocharger of the main engine. Further details are waiting in this matter as what actually happened and how the crew member sustained such injuries. Ship was sailing near North Atlantic, SE of Newark, USA. Crew member was transferred to the Hospital in Norfolk for further treatment. Ship was supposed to reach Algeciras on 5th June. Since the distance was long to travel to ship, helicopter had to refuel again on a US Navy Destroyer Ship.
