2017 is here and we are all set to celebrate the Day of the seafarer 2017. It will be celebrated on 25th June (same day every year). As name suggest, this day is dedicated to all the seaman or sailor sailing all around the globe to make sure that ships sails safely and on time!
Although this is just a small tribute towards the hard work that sailors go through, celebrating one day dedicated to them is just a small support towards them.
Day of the Seafarer Theme
IMO every year launches special theme for this day. For the year 2017 it is SEAFARER MATTERS. You can find all the updates going around the world by typing #seafarermatters. As name suggest, this theme thanks all the seafarer out there who makes the world trade going. If we imagine they are very small part of this big industry, but without them industry will go into paralysis mode.
