When it comes to helping people, seafarers are never behind. Being frontline workers and the most forgotten workforce too, they still work tirelessly to support the society in every way they can. A recent case of 3 seafarers have come who ran for 107 Km in their hotel bedrooms, to raise money for three charities.
They are quarantine in a hotel at Equatorial Guinea. Stephen, James and Tommy three seafarers walked inside their hotel rooms and their campaign already managed to reach 920 Euros. It wasn’t easy for them to achieve this as the space was limited. So they had to shift the furniture here and there, to make a space for walking around.
Three charities for which this money was raised are Sailors Children Society, Become and Sailor Society. This target was achieved in 10 days by walking approx. more than 10Km every day.

It’s great to see people coming together and being proactive to support each other in this time of crisis. It really reminds us that we must ALL do as much as we can to help, not only our friends and family, but also our neighbors, community, seafarers and the industry as a whole.
