An article recently published on a leading news house, which states that as per their highly reliable sources- international flights might start from July if everything goes good as planned. For overseas operations, the domestic numbers should go up by at least 50 % or more. On Wednesday more than 1 lakh footfalls were recorded on Indian airports, and numbers have gone up considerably from 25th May, when domestic operations resumed. A footfall of around 150k people in a day will be the ideal situation to start with Intl. flight operations.
Under ‘Unlock 1.0’, international operations will be resumed in the 3rd phase and depends mostly on the other countries as well, where people are planning to travel. By mid June, things will be much clearers for the roadmap regarding resuming operations.
International operations will help crew changes as thousands of seafarers are waiting for their sign on and sign off. Chartered flights arrangements have just started, but it is not enough to do major crew changes.
