Drones are being used for quite lot of things today, especially for aerial photography. But now drones are advancing new level of uses. Recently at the Rotterdam Port, drone was used for delivering supplies to the world biggest ship (By Displacement)- Allseas Pioneering Spirit. It was a joint work by Ship management, Dutch Drone Delta and Port of Rotterdam.
The recent pilot projects using unmanned aerial vehicle is to optimize the delivery systems, avoid accidents and also to be used in aerial surveillance. These projects are building foundation for future coming needs from drones which has immense potential. Supplying essential items at remote location of sea will also be possible with these UAVs.
