News is coming from Philippines that 2nd engineer with virus symptoms died on a cargo ship. Name of 2nd engineer is Aristone Calad, 65, a native of Deplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay. He was found dead in his bed. Investigation showed that he had symptoms of cold, cough and fever. His colleagues said that after cargo operations on May 3, he developed these symptoms of cold and fever.
As per the government, proper guidelines will be followed for complete investigation in to the case considering the protocol for the epidemic control. All of other crew members will also be put in quarantine also. Corona virus epidemic have been affecting seafarers worldwide, putting questions on the security in terms of health for seafarers.
