Container cargo ship Marina took part in the migrants rescue operation on May 4, after the advice of MRCC Malta. They took around 78 migrants onboard. While ship is still waiting for the further instructions, the supplies on ship are running out very fast. Provisions are generally for 15 crew members, but with so many migrants on ship, it is running out of their supplies. Water is also running out, forcing crew to re use the water coming out of the air condition plant.
With no further instruction, the lives of the crew members have become difficult. There are chances of mutiny from the migrants, which poses a danger to the lives of crew members. They are there to move the cargo and not handle such kind of situations. And also they have to meet the cargo deadlines as well.
