JONES Act Compliant Hydrogen Powered WTIV Gets ABS Approval

Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) design-The NP20000X ULAM developed by naval architects by NED-Project working with GPZ Energy was approved in principal by ABS. This modern installation vessel for the wind turbines will be able to handle somewhere around 15-20 MW installations. One more good thing is that this vessel can be powered by hydrogen as well.

This advance vessel have high load capacity crane which can lift up to 3500 tons of weight. The monopiles stacking arrangement is horizontal as seen in the picture, which makes them easy to install and provides better efficiency. US Offshore Wind Energy industry is booming and so does the infrastructure attached to it.
