IMU Performance Based Reward For UG and PG Programmes

Indian Maritime University offers IMU performance based reward for the under graduate and post graduate courses. The top ranker from each batch in each course gets a reward for their best performance in the exams.

IMU is a centralized university that caters all the courses related to the maritime sector. They offer courses from under grad to research level. The main office of the university is located in Chennai. While they have five campuses in Indian namely: Kolkata, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam, Mumbai and Cochin. Each year, university conducts common entrance test for the admission in to the various courses offered by the. This exam is famously called as IMU CET.

This is a kind of scholarship that university provides to the students as per the marks they have obtained in the previous semester. But for those courses whose duration is one year, this scholarship is not provided to them. This means that, students of Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) and post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering (PGDME) will not be eligible for it.

IMU Performance Based Reward For UG and PG Programmes

There are two kinds of rewards under the ‘IMU Performance Based Reward System’. One if for the toppers who will score more than 75% marks overall and fulfill other conditions as well. Each of this kind of student will get 100000/- as scholarship.

Another one is for the students who are in the merit list after the toppers. They will get 75000 per semester, each student. But for these students, IMU has fizzed number of students in batch that will this scholarship. Below is the information for it.

Number of Students to get scholarship, other than Toppers

Here is the detail of the number of students who will get this reward, apart from the toppers. Each student below will get 75000 as scholarship money for the given course, per semester.
