There has been an incident of cargo ship collision with bridge in Japan. The cargo ship named AMATERASU-IMO Number 9157600 collided with Koasn Ohashi Bridge pillar at Ube port. It is reported that the ship has sustained damages to the structure. While there are no damages to the bridge as far as we know.
Though there is news about crew getting injured, but this news is still not confirmed yet. In past as well we have seen ships colliding with the bridges.
Human error is among the most common factor regarding the collisions at sea.
